Six decades of sharing a love of antiques in our dear old building, which is nearing 200 years old… yes, we’re in an authentic and unique old general store building that’s worth experiencing in itself. We’ll be sharing stories throughout the year about our history while also celebrating many of the special people who’ve added their special flavor to make Wexford General Store Antiques the true gem it continues to be!
WGS is still owned and run by Marianne and Jim Marino, who work every Saturday. Back in 1966, they were approached by Doc Schwerin to buy the building, and the rest is history. Rolling up their sleeves, they got to work cleaning, fixing and making the place their own. In the beginning, Marianne & Jim lived upstairs where they eventually began raising their young family, while running the antique shop business downstairs. Still family-run, we have a group of 20 different dealers (our “WGS Family”) who continue to do a terrific job keeping the shop stocked with antiques, vintage and one-of-a-kind merchandise. We’re all passionate about what we do and love being a part of something so special. Take a ride out to Wexford and see us, just 20 minutes north of Pittsburgh.
